Someone is getting fired tonight because there was a major disaster at Oscars 2017 that took place tonight. Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway apparently got the wrong card when they opened their envelope to announce tonight’s winner of Best Picture. When Beatty opened the envelope on stage, he appeared to either be confused or that he couldn’t exactly read what was written. Dunaway ended up making the La La Land announcement.
What followed was a heart-stopping moment the stars and producers of La La Land were stopped midway through their acceptance speeches, before being forced to hand their trophies to the stars of Moonlight that actually won the award.
The terrible end to the show left the audience gasping in horror, stunned by the mishap.
