Klepetan the stork has made the long journey from Africa to Croatia to be with his mate again.
His long term partner, a female stork called Malena was injured by hunters , and has since then been unable to fly. Stephen Vokić the man who takes care of her said that Klepetan made the 13,000 kilometer (8,060 mile) long flight from South Africa a little earlier this year, and that he looked very tired after he returned to the Croatian village of Brodski Varos, in eastern Croatia.
Stjepan explained how Klepetan and Malena have baby chicks every year and that Klepetan takes responsibility for their flying lessons since Malena cannot fly. When chickens become strong enough Klepetan will take them with him to South Africa .
