The 20 greatest guitar riffs ever?

BBC Radio 2 has revealed the top 20 “greatest guitar riffs” in musical history, as voted for by listeners, in a list that spans more than half a century. The riff from Chuck Berry’s 1958 song Johnny B. Goody is joined by the Arctic Monkeys, Do I Wanna Know?, Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer and David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust in what is expected to be the definitive list of guitar music. The list has been compiled from a selection of 100 songs, curated by Radio 2’s presenters, music critics and record producers.
