Japanese Spa Offers Deep-Fried Piranha

When you think about the world’s great predators, you don’t usually think about eating them. There aren’t many eateries that whip up tiger stir fry or Venus fly trap flambe. It turns out, however, deep fried piranha is not only edible, but quite possibly delicious. Japan’s Nara Kenko Land spa is hosting a “Big Amazon Mysterious Fish Exhibit,” during which you can grab yourself a plate of the delicacy. Beware: The piranha comes to your table fully formed. That means you’ll be staring into its beady eyes and razor-sharp teeth as you dig into it. Reports indicate that the dish is tasty, although filled with bones. The piranha is as dangerous in death as it is in life apparently. via
