Why you really can tell what your dog's thinking

Scientists believe the natural empathy between dogs and humans explains why a new study has shown people are able to find a precise range of emotions in canines from slight movements in their expressions. During the study, volunteers were shown a range of different images of the same dog (pictured) and they were able to detect the exact emotion of the animal.
