Driver Swerves to Avoid Moose, Hits One of Norway’s 150 Brown Bears Instead

"A Norwegian man driving down a dark, rural road Wednesday night noticed a moose in his path and swerved to avoid it. What he didn’t notice, however, was the bear also standing nearby, which he ended up crashing into in his attempts to spare the moose. The accident occurred around midnight near the town of Hanestad, about 140 miles north of Oslo. The driver escaped uninjured, though his car suffered some damage. The bear, however, has yet to be found.
