CatAtelier

Picture: Julie Song / Rex Features
"Julie Song runs an online store called CatAtelier that offers kitty couture including flat caps, neck ruffs and scarves, bowties and berets. And she has a very willing model moggie in the shape of her own Abyssinian cat named Toki. Julie runs the Etsy website store in her free time after working at her day job as a designer at a costume studio. New York-based Julie says: The idea of cats in clothes is something ingrained in me from childhood, from watching cartoons and reading books. I think most cats prefer to be naked, in their own fur, of course. My own cat, an Abyssinian, is extremely curious and wants to be involved in anything I'm doing. Toki is an amazing model. He actually sits down and poses now, which is really funny. He gives these bored model faces that are hysterical."
