Belgian tourist drives against traffic to retrieve purse

A Belgian tourist has driven 30 kilometres along a highway in the opposite direction to the traffic in order to get back his wife's purse with documents.

The 55-year-old decided he would drive from the eastern locality of Stitar to the rest stop Rastovica against the oncoming traffic because his wife had left a purse with all of her documents behind.

The driver is likely to face charges for violation of traffic safety laws.
