Gerhard Bengesser from Vogan in Leibnitz area wore a traditional costume when taking local roads to reach the tourist destination of Porec, western Croatia in a trip longer than 300 kilometres aboard his oldtimer tractor Steyr 180 from 1951.
"It has been my long-term dream to drive my tractor from my home to Porec where I often spend my holidays. Before, when I was arriving in Porec with my car, it would take me three hours. This time in three days I've experienced much more joy during the trip. I've met a lot of nice people. That's the advantage of a holiday trip on tractor", Gerhard Bengesser has said to Croatian daily Glas Istre.
