The 10 best webcomics, from Achewood to XKCD

"Creator: Kris Wilson (plus Matt Melvin, Rob DenBleyker and Dave McElfatrick)
 Launched: January 2005"
"The darkest, bitterest, rudest comic of the lot, Cyanide and Happiness is also one of the funniest.
Each strip of three to six panels stands alone, and seems to have no taste boundaries whatsoever.
Created in January 2005 by Kris Wilson, with contributions from Matt Melvin, Rob DenBleyker and Dave McElfatrick, it contains a few recurring characters, including the epileptic superhero Seizure Man and Obese Maurice, a man called Maurice who – wait for it – is very fat.
Not one for the faint-hearted: its subjects include correcting the spelling in a suicide note, a doctor feeling up a dead patient, and a character giving the Lincoln Memorial a lapdance. Approach with caution."
