Before Photoshop was available, people got very creative in making their holiday and Christmas greeting cards.

Croatia’s team won the first in 1998, and took silver in 2018.

Hundreds of Sick Children Are Transported to a Christmas Wonderland Thanks to Photoshop Artists
Every year, photographers and Photoshop artists come together to bring the magic of the holidays to sick children across the world. The heART Project is a collaboration between award-winning Australian photographer Karen Alsop from Story Art and a group of volunteer photographers from across the globe. This year, the group visited children in the United States and Australia and brought a little Christmas joy to families struggling with childhood health challenges.

Strange Pain , Felicia Chiao
“Strange Pain is about the small, undefinable pains you sometimes feel when nothing is specifically wrong. It can come as that ache you feel from a sad song or that fleeting wave of despair that comes over you while waiting for water to boil. It can be the tightness in your chest before a social event or that vague sense of guilt you sometimes get, even though you’ve done nothing wrong.
Strange pains are hard to put into words but this body of work does its best to explore them.”

Under the Skin, David de la Mano
From 1993 onward, De La Mano has worked extensively in urban public space, and developed his trademark style during numerous international projects. Relying predominantly on harsh contrasts of black and white, his reductive and increasingly emblematic paintings centre around narrative and symbolic figuration. David de la Mano is a contemporary artist known for his meticulous brushwork, his knack for large scale, almost systematic use of black and white, and his minimalist human silhouettes.

Japan picks 'war' as kanji character of the year
The character, chosen in a public vote, reflected Japanese sentiment about the state of the world, as well as heightened anxiety over the weak yen and high cost of living, according to the annual contest’s organisers, the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation.
Congratulations to Argentina !
Argentina had a penalty. Messi had the ball. All of Croatia’s good work had been for nothing.
Croatia will now play the loser of the France and Morocco semi-final for 3rd place on Saturday.
