The Meeting Place

The painting galleries of museums have proven to be places of reconciliation between a permanently dead world exposed to the public and living visitors who were going to freeze and, by the same token, find their place in the stillness of the paintings. Consequently, it was a question of organizing a photograph which expresses the meeting of the eyewitnesses of today and the painting of the past.
