People who disobey self-isolation orders in Croatia to face big fines

Anyone in Croatia who disobeys the order to self-isolate or other measures imposed over the coronavirus outbreak faces a fine of HRK 8,000 (€1,060), while repeat offenders face a fine of up to HRK 120,000 (€16,000), the State Inspectorate decided on Sunday.
 The National Civil Protection Authority said today around 9,000 people were now in self-isolation in Croatia with confirmed cases now standing at 56. There are now confirmed coronavirus cases in the cities of Zagreb, Pula, Umag, Porec, Rijeka, Varazdin, Osijek, Karlovac and Sisak.
There have been no deaths yet in Croatia.
 Croatia strengthened measures for Croatian and foreign nationals entering the Croatia on Sunday by extending the list of countries from which travellers will have to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival. Read more
