French actor Jeanne Moreau has died at the age of 89.

 Best known for her role in François Truffaut’s New Wave classic Jules et Jim, she worked with many of the leading art house directors of the time including Louis Malle, Roger Vadim, Michelangelo Antonioni and Luis Buñuel.
