A brave woman paralysed from the chest down has become the first person to complete a marathon in a bionic suit when she crossed the finish line after 16 days today.
Claire Lomas finished the London Marathon this lunchtime, over two weeks after most of the other 36,000 runners who completed the 26.2-mile route.
The 32-year-old event rider, who was paralysed in a riding accident five years ago, crossed the line 16 days after the race began thanks to a £43,000 bionic walking suit.
