The security guard Alen Grubisic from the Adriatic coastal town of Sibenik found a female's shoe that may have got lost in the central city square after the New Year's celebrations.
The following day he placed the shoe on a metal box in the square and wrote underneath it: "Looking for Cinderella".
Cinderella still has not got back to him.
