A new book concentrates upon a small group of environmentalists who are at the forefront of protecting orangutans. The Ape Crusaders by Sean Whyte
takes the reader on a photographic journey throughout south-east Asia, showing the highs and lows of frontline orangutan conservation. There have been 125,000 protected orangutans killed, captured or sold into the illegal wildlife trade over the past 40 years without a single prosecution.
