They were tiny newborn twins, delivered by a team of frantic doctors by emergency caesarian in January, six weeks before they were due.
And conjoined at the base of their spines, their chances of survival were even smaller.
In what is being hailed as little short of a medical miracle, Joshua and Jacob Spates have defied all odds and survived being separated after 13 hours in surgery.
And as this amazingly heart-warming picture shows, they have now been introduced - face to face - something otherwise would never have happened for the pair.

One may have one soul,even if the baby has two brains and two spines.And only one heart.Medical science has to face sophisticated scientific questions to be remedied and the ethics will have to face new questions.God,direct the hands of doctors for noble deeds.Every problem has to be faced and remedied.Then only man can go forward.
