ZAGREB, Croatia - Former Prime Minister Ivo Sanader is scheduled to testify before a parliamentary committee probing the sale of Croatia's state-owned oil company to Hungary's oil supplier MOL.
Tuesday's testimony will be Sanader's first public appearance since he abruptly resigned last year.
Sanader's two aides — the former economics minister and the ex-head of the customs services — are detained on corruption charges.
The committee, which can't press charges but can request a formal probe, is probing whether MOL was privileged in the deal.
Croatia has recently intensified the fight against graft — a key requirement for joining the EU.
