Hearing Delayed Because Judge Does Not Know Tennis

"The four year court saga in the ‘Millionaire’ case, in which Sinisa Engler is suing HRT (Croatian Radio Television) for injustice in the quiz ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’, continues.
In 2005 he participated in the Croatian version of the quiz “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”. The question for 8,000 kuna stated: “Who was the first Russian woman to reach the number one position on the WTA list for tennis?” After deciding between two players, he answered: “Ana Kurnikova”. He was certain that he would continue the game and go home with some prize money. However he did not expect the disappointment that followed, according to Engler, which was also visible on the television show host Tarik Filipovic.

“When the name Sarapova lit up as the correct answer, what surprised me the most was Tarik’s reaction, which is clearly seen on the recording. He seemed to be as surprised as I was. Immediately after accompanying me out of the studio, I went home and checked the information on the internet, and I saw that, I answered the question correctly” said Engler in one of his last conversations.

The continuation of the ‘Millionaire’ case will most probably continue at the start of September, and then we will see if Croatia will get their first ‘out of studio’ millionaire, from the quiz ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’.
