Daisy the Jack Russell was rescued by owner Mark Barsby-Finch in 1993, when she was two years old, from a rehoming centre.

Dog Kissing Contest Held in Maine
Maine held their 9th annual Valentine's Day Canine Kissing Contest and Cocktail Party at the Planet Dog company store. The contest entailed the canines licking their owners, whereas the winner is the one whose kisses last the longest.
The prize was a $75 gift certificate to Planet Dog, which went to Beau, a 12 year old yorkie/dachshund mix, for showing his love to his owner, Linda Walton, for 45.8 seconds. These two also won the award last year.

Basketball trained sea otter 'shoots hoops' for exercise - video
An elderly sea otter is winning hearts and scoring points as it dunks basketballs at a zoo in Portland, Oregon. The 15-year-old otter, named Eddie, suffers from arthritis in his elbows. Eddie has been trained to shoot a small ball through a plastic basketball hoop in an attempt to improve his arthritic joints. see video
